Each stage of osteoarthritis has different characteristics. Therefore, the choice of hyaluronic acid (HA) injection products should be considered based on the condition of the joint and the patient’s treatment needs.
- Mild osteoarthritis: At the early stage, when cartilage damage is still minimal, Alsavin 1% is an option with a regimen of 5 injections, administered once a week.
- Moderate osteoarthritis: When pain occurs during movement and partial cartilage loss is present, Alsavin 1.6% (Supra) is administered as a regimen of 3 injections, once a week.
- Moderate-to-severe osteoarthritis: Alsavin 2% (One) contains 2.0% HA (48 mg/2.4 ml) and is administered as a single injection.
Choosing based on individual needs:
- For faster pain relief or fewer injections: Alsavin 2% or Alsavin.
- For cost-sensitive patients or early-stage osteoarthritis: Alsavin 1%.
- For recurrent osteoarthritis or after an injury: Alsavin 1.6% or Alsavin.
The choice of product and injection regimen should be considered based on the severity of osteoarthritis, the patient’s specific condition and individual needs, and should be prescribed by a physician.
